About Joplin

Joplin is an open-source note-taking application that saves notes in an open format. It supports multimedia attachments including images, videos, PDFs, and audio files, alongside mathematical expressions and diagrams. Users can format notes using Markdown or a Rich Text editor, install plugins, and apply custom themes. Notes can be synchronised across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, and terminal applications using end-to-end encryption via Joplin Cloud, Dropbox, or OneDrive. A web clipper extension for Chrome and Firefox enables saving web pages and capturing screenshots directly into notes. The note-taking app is free; Joplin Cloud is an optional paid synchronization and collaboration service.
