Docker
Docker brings containers and application development tools together to build applications and ship them anywhere.
What is Docker?
Docker is a development platform that includes tools for container applications and isolated agent sessions. Docker Desktop brings containers and the application development loop together in one place. Docker Sandboxes provides microVM isolation for agent sessions running locally or in the cloud, with network and filesystem restrictions enforced at runtime. Docker AI Governance provides one console for sandbox and MCP policies, with identity-bound audit logs. Developers can start on a laptop and move to Cloud Sandboxes for longer tasks using the same isolation.
Key features
Run coding agents in microVM environments with their own kernel and private Docker Engine.
Move a sandbox’s filesystem between local machines and Docker-managed cloud infrastructure.
Define network allow and deny rules for domains, IP addresses, and CIDRs.
Control which MCP servers and tools are available across an organization.
Stream policy evaluation events to SIEM tools.
