What is Appsmith?
Appsmith is an open-source low-code platform for building custom applications. Users can connect databases, SaaS tools, and REST or GraphQL APIs, then assemble responsive interfaces using drag-and-drop widgets or custom widgets written in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. They can customize data, appearance, and business logic with JavaScript and import external libraries into their applications. Appsmith also supports Git version control, merging updates, and automatic deployment of merged changes from designated environment branches. Any edition can run in an organization’s own infrastructure, with air-gapped deployment options available.
